OK, this is actually on the oil light issue, but...
I don't see how a light or other electrical sensor
could be plumbed in. The bike has a mechanical,
internal pump, as opposed to say an HD, which has an
external pump(those post 36 models anyway, new fangled
junk). As for the extra light on the dash, it is
likely for aesthetic balance.
I couldn't even find that in the manual. Nothing is
shown as that lights function.
